The uncovering of the remains of an ancient civilization, hidden by the hills surrounding Visoko, has captured the attention of media and audience in the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina. Immediately it has been seen as a potential source of tourism. In these remnants of the past somebody seeks a perspective for the future, somebody else sees just another blunder. In Visoko, a Bosnian city several kilometers away from Sarajevo, restaurants have changed their names to recall Maya symbols, and tour guides show the tourist the incredible features of the archeological discovery. The sacred blending with the profane turned into an argument of discussion, as someone demystifies it, someone else sanctifies it. Someone hopes that this could serve to overcome political divisions and unemployment. Thousands and no possibility at the same time in a city which redefines itself in a light of a new discovery, which is looking for new idols and seems to have found them under the trees covering the surrounding hills.
